OVERVIEW

Boomer Go is an app designed for baby boomers to help them find events, clubs and meetups, with the overall goal of reconnecting them to their communities and encouraging the growth of friendships. It is exclusive to adults over 60 and features events that cater to this age range. The clear interface allows users to find events, set reminders, connect with friends, send invites and more. Boomer Go also features tutorials and accessibility options, ensuring the app is accessible to all boomers.

DESIGN STRATEGY

I decided to use a mixed-media approach to reflect the book's vast yet intimate feel of the book. The range of media provides variety, yet the limited colour palette and handmade elements provide a more personal ambiance.

ROLE: onboarding process and design decisions

GOAL

Develop an app for senior citizens that addresses a problem that they face. The problem that we addressed is the loss of community and the loneliness epidemic.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Murray is a 72-year-old retiree living on a ranch in a rural area who needs an accessible platform to find social groups and events. He feels disconnected from his local community and lacks the motivation to go out, leaving him isolated.
